Hello!

I am a professional software engineer with a Master’s in Computer Engineering and over three years of industry experience innovating from protocol to product.

Through my graduate degree, I have experience navigating the technical nebulae of innovation where I researched and implemented new security mechanisms for an emerging network mobility protocol.

Additionally I have showcased my expertise at Qualcomm by driving critical design innovations, architecting robust data-collection infrastructure, and delivering efficient test automation systems for an advanced cellular security product.

Complementing my career, I have engineered an AI-driven YouTube Analytics tool for natural language metric extraction and advanced sentiment insights as well as a full-stack Restaurant Heatmap web app for dynamic location-based searches.

In my personal time, I enjoy creating digital art by using my technical skills to transform music into visual narratives.

Resume

  • Experience

  • Open Source and
    Independent Development

    AI and Full-Stack Applications (2022 - Present)

Engineered data-driven applications leveraging AI/ML technologies, RAG architectures, microservices, and cloud platforms to deliver intuitive analytics solutions and interactive visualization interfaces.

  • Senior Software Engineer

    Qualcomm Secure Systems Group (2018 - 2022)

Contributed to the core architecture and infrastructure development of a cellular security product, including the creation of an automated Python test system, deployment of secure logging infrastructure, and optimization of static code analysis processes.

  • Undergraduate Teaching Assistant

University of California, Santa Cruz (2016 - 2018)

Assisted in the academic development of over 500 students in Computer Networks, Computer Architecture, and Engineering Statistics by leading dynamic lab sections, creating tailored teaching materials, and providing constructive feedback on assignments and exams.

  • Member of Technical Staff

    Scale-Free Untethered Network Systems Technologies (SUNS-Tech) (2015 - 2016)

Developed a Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) application in Java and C, implementing a publish-subscribe routing model for efficient network operations, and authored detailed technical documentation outlining system architecture and user specifications.

  • Software Developer Intern

    Brocade (2015)

Independently integrated Brocade’s Vyatta virtual router onto the Google Cloud Platform using Python, playing a key role in pioneering this integration into a new ecosystem, and created comprehensive documentation to detail best practices for future implementations.

  • Projects

  • YouTube Analytics RAG (GitHub)

LLM with RAG using Python, Ollama, LangChain, and MongoDB (2025)

Developed a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system for YouTube analytics in Python, enabling natural language querying of video and channel metrics. Deployed Llama 3.2 locally using Ollama to optimize cost, integrated YouTube APIs for accurate sentiment and trend analysis, and utilized MongoDB Atlas Vector Search for efficient data storage and retrieval.

  • Restaurant Heatmap (Demo)

MERN stack deployed on Google Cloud Platform (2024)

Developed an interactive restaurant heatmap web app using the MERN stack, dynamically filtering results based on user location, with a microservice architecture deployed on Google App Engine. Leveraged Google Maps APIs to source accurate restaurant data and implemented responsive UI layouts for both mobile and desktop users.

  • Enabling Secure Mobility Using Dynamic Internet Mobility for End-Systems with TLS

    UCSC Master's Project (2018)

Conducted a security analysis on a next-generation network protocol using an Identifier-Locator Split Architecture and identified a data amplification vulnerability caused by unauthenticated control packets. Proposed a solution using OpenSSL with session resumption to resolve the issue while maintaining the network’s mobility design.
